My Houston

This is my home. So many people say they don't like it - the traffic is awful, the air is polluted, there's nothing to do, and they wish they were in the mountains, on the river, by the lake, at the ocean, in the hills, or just anywhere but here. Not me. I like it. Even though severe heat and high humidity are not on the top of my list, I am happy to call this city home (plus, I can dispute all the above negative statements, of course!).

Houston is where I went to high school and college. My brother and sister, along with their respective spouses, still live here and are raising our wonderful nieces and nephews.

My husband and I have lived our entire married life in this town. It's where we work, live, and worship. Our friends are here.

I love HOUston!

What truly makes Houston wonderful is her people...
