Alrighty...  I admit it, I really like birds.

In my own backyard, it's the mockingbirds.  If you haven't heard one
sing, you are missing an experience like no other.   Around here they land
on treetops, fences, and the chimneys of houses and sing up a storm.  Often,
they sing in the middle of the night.  One mockingbird can sound like a chorus
Of course, they can be pretty obnoxious, too - they are tomato thieves!   They're
pretty funny, though, when cats are around.  If a cat is anywhere near their nests,
they'll chase it unmercifully, chirping and  dive-bombing the cat's tail and head.

Here are some mockingbird sites:

Another bird that can be found along the coast here is the pelican.   I find these
creatures to be fascinating.   I guess it's the "scoop" they have for a bill.
Here are some interesting sites on the pelican.

The third bird that intrigues me is one I have never seen, the puffin.  For some
reason, I have an affinity for them and really want to make a trek someday just
to see them "in real life."  The following are some great puffin sites - enjoy!
