Yes siree, I have an ocean "thang" going on...(that was Texas talk, right there)

I love the sea and what lives in it (well, most of what lives in it - I think I
could do without sharks and jellyfish, but that's not what this is about.).

For now, I am going to concentrate on two inhabitants - the sea turtle and flying
fish.

The Cayman Islands have a sea turtle farm where they are breeding and raising
this endangered species.   The sea turtle was the means of existence for the
natives before development.  While swimming and snorkeling in the Caribbean,
I have seen and touched sea turtles.  You'd think they would be slow
in the water, but they are extremely fast.  If you touch one, it's because it's
very young or it let you.

Now, I have seen flying fish in the Caribbean as well.   We were on a deep sea
fishing expedition and our boat caused schools of flying fish to truly fly out of
the sea and soar.   It is a site that literally takes your breath away.   If you've
never seen it, you imagine that they really just arch out of the water and back
in, but what happens is they "fly" over the water for 10 feet or more (depending
on the size) before they reenter.   I tried so hard to capture them on film, but
they were just too fast.   I've discovered there aren't too many actual
photos of them online, either.   If you find some, please send them to me!

Ok... turtles first...
