Welcome to the remembrance site of Walter Ebanks.
My sister, Susan (Ebanks) deBoisblanc, wrote Uncle Walter and asked him to share what he could remember of his older brother, and our grandfather, Sam Ebanks.
Little did we know what a treasure we would receive! As Uncle Walter shared his memories with us, we asked more and more questions. And guess what? He answered them! In fact, the memories are still coming and I will be adding them as received.
Below you will see a directory to the right with the various "installments" listed in the order received. As you click on the installment number, it will be displayed to the left. While reading these memories, I feel sure all the Ebanks clan will see members of their immediate families and will be as blessed as we are to have this gift from Uncle Walter (one note: When you click on "Photos" below, it will open in another window).
I have a request for you all. I would like to link photos, more stories, whatever you have, to this site. If you have a photo of the people Uncle Walter is speaking of, or the places, etc... please email me the scanned photo so that I may attach it here. If you don't have access to a scanner, I would be happy to scan your photos and return them immediately (send me an email for my mailing address). As far as your remembrances, I would love to link those as well. Please send them to me! If one of Uncle Walter's memories triggers one of yours, let me know and I will link it to his.
